HOW YOU'D HELP
Charitable contributions from corporations, local businesses, and individuals are essential to keep our team running. As you might expect, robotics is expensive—we spend upwards of $40,000 a year!

To offset these expenses, some teams charge their members more, but we aim to keep the financial burden off of our members. Making sure no one is turned away from our team, we charge low membership fees ($35 a year), keep local competitions free, and cover overnight competition dues for students who can’t pay them. However, this does mean that we have to rely on outside donations from our community to continue operating.
OUR EXPENSES
Each year, we pay approximately . . .

$6,300 for team registration for two District events

An additional $4,000 for registration if we qualify for NorCal District Champs

$10,000–20,000 for robot parts, equipment, tools, materials for field elements, etc.

8,000–$12,000 for travel and food costs (not covered by student competition dues)

$2,000–$3,000 for school facilities during weekend meetings
